Credit report rights

Credit reporting is used so that financial institutions can evaluate your ability to take-out and repay loans.

  • Only licensed institutions will be allowed to carry out credit reporting activities on you.

  • Only licensed institutions that have committed to the CBC’s Code of Conduct will be able to access your credit report.

  • Your consent must be gained before any data collection or data access is allowed. The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) has created a consent form that is used by all financial institutions for this purpose.

  • No information about your political beliefs, religious beliefs, colour, race and personal information will be collected or stored.
